Actually if you can stand getting wet and the possibility of getting struck by lightning, washing your car in the rain is a great idea. Once it's washed, you get the cleanest, best spot free rinse out there.

Cept not, he was probably washing the car before it started raining, then didn't want to leave soap on the car resulting in water spots, or didn't want to have a half washed car. This has happened to me quite a few times, but I love my Infiniti too much to not continue on, haha.
