James McClintock -- 12-Sep-2012 09:53:31 pm -- This is dumb even as a joke; it implies that a woman will go out with a dumb, humourless poor guy just because he's good looking, while a guy will never go out with a good looking girl if she's dumb and humourless (pretty basic maths, if looks were 1, 1x(0+0)=0 while 0+0+0+1 = 1.
And I know for a fact there are a lot of guys who date women solely on looks, which I guess is what this is trying to say but they're not doing a very good job with their basic mathematics.
tl;dr random maths nerd finds error in mathematics in the joke.
