Silly girl, this isn't a failure of nerve, it's a lack of engineering know-how.
Instructions:
1. While holding the container flush to the wall, get rid of all the tape, but keep the note.
2. Take the note, from below, slide it under the top of the container, thus creating a lid and trapping the bug. Be careful not to take its legs off (if you care).
3. Take the whole thing outside and toss it on the grass.
4. Pick up your garbage and tupperware once the bug crawls away.
