Participating artists will be asked to upload videos to the web site. You have 30 days to drive all of your friends and fans to watch your videos on Videobash
At the end of the 30 days, the 5 artists who attract the most buzz (Views, Hypes and Overall Rating) from their fans (and 5 other artists chosen by an industry panel) will be chosen to perform at the finals at a top live music venue in Toronto. The chosen finalists will then have an additional 30 days to upload additional videos and drive their fans to the website.(To make sure you qualify for the perks!)
Any of the finalists accumulating a minimum of 1000 legitimate views (all videos combined) and a rating of 80% or higher (all videos combined) will receive 8 hours of recording time at Toronto's Epic Productions recording studio. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to speak with and receive critical feedback on their set from an artist manager at Coalition Music (Our Lady Peace, Finger 11, Simple Plan, USS, Faber Drive and many more).
The finals will be at a top live music venue in Toronto. The set times will be determined by votes (view count * overall rating on all videos combined) 3 days before the show. The band that has the most votes at that time will have first choice of set time, and the band that has the least votes will receive the last available slot.
The winners will be ranked based on two categories. Most cumulative video views and the best live performance. The winners will win an industry showcase at Coalition's "chapel", a 2 song Demo (Tracking, Mixing and Mastering) with Epik Productions and have a video featured on Video Bash's Homepage for 30 days. (Total Value of Grand Prize is over $8000)

The contest is simple and allows you as a musician to further tap your collective creative force. It can be as easy as recording some footage on your smartphone each day and uploading it. Because this is a highly promoted contest, you will gain many new fans, so we recommend that you integrate your channel into your web site. The old way of getting signed by soliciting labels is over; this is the new medium.
