Cows Stampede Through English Neighborhood, Animals trample lawns in 6am escape. A quite british neighbourhood was woken by a herd of cows stampeding through their gardens. he 30-strong group of animals left hoof prints 6in deep in some residents' front lawns after escaping from a nearby field.
Resident James Lee, 20, filmed the animals from his house on the street in Harrogate, North Yorks, early on Sunday morning.
James, who works in retail sales, said the cows were wandering around the street for five minutes at around 6am, before hoofing it back to their field around a mile away.
He said: "It was a quite a confusing sight to wake up to, very odd and extremely surreal to see at that point in the morning.
"When I heard the noise I first thought it was a family member in the house snoring but then I took a look outside.
