okay so to some of you this is going to sound stupid, but instead of pitying and congratulating him on his effort, why don't we challenge him to be better, most of the stunts he performs can be done by a normal skater. Im just saying instead of pitying and feeling sorrow for the disabled why don't we see them as equals and treat them in a way we would treat a normal skater that can perform these tricks. Just because he has no legs doesn't mean we commend him for what his doing, we encourage him to better himself and be greater then any other skater that doesn't suffer from injury. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND NEVER GIVE UP =)

but also take into consideration, this is a produced skate video, theyre showing all the best stuff and editted out the rest save for one fall down a beastly stair gap.
the issue i see is with all the people that arent thinking and bashing the commentors with really, really, negative comments back. ie too fat to skate, a@#hole, no friends, insulting mothers, etc all the negative things you all said to other comments because you wont see the simple facts of what theyre saying--granted theyre saying it a lot harsher, because this guy does have skill, but no special abilities, he just set his mind on something and did it. and dont say these people arent doing anything just because they commented on this video, you have no idea what theyre doing with their life. you people are sad that you have to bash someone (and be personal about it) who voices their opinion. regardless, this kid is fantastic and has obviously reached the level of skating that i would want, doing it without thinking, just doing. very fluid.
Im not saying this is less amazing than a skater with legs, or that its not special or anything--this guy is amazing at what he does, what i am saying though, look at the facts. and sorry for this, im just studying anatomical physics, ie the physics of the human form and how things are possible.
so imagine it minus leg weight and with upper body strength training. Sitting on a board and rolling downhill isnt a good comparison to the difficulty for him or us, if we sit on a board, our legs can cause drag and throw us off balance and take up surface area on the board (i've tried this, and since turning on a board is through leaning left/right, legs made it harder to balance because they hung out on either side). now he does have his right thigh still, and hes able to turn his body into an angle-spring for more shock absorbing. and for the ones saying "you do it" or "cut off your legs and try" well, i dont skate as much as he does to be even remotely good, and he was probably living with his injurys for a long while before he picked it up and was used to his new body proportions.
ok, im not here to bash the legless guy, or anyone commenting. but, i will say that you have to think of the perks of him not having legs in this situation. Legs weigh a lot, his center of gravity is lower(and for the one that said leave gravity out of this, well thats how you balance) hands have way better board control than feet (though lots of scrapped knuckles)and he can better rebalance himself by putting a hand down from that height instead of squatting to do it. and putting strain on his hands and rear? boards bend to absorb shock, and im sure hes learned the way to land with minimal strain by using his arms as shock absorbers and the muscle on his "rear," as you say, to cushion, also hes obviously in great fitness and since his body is lighter (lack of legs), its easier to lift (and land) himself with his arms, it also doesnt take that much upper body strength to lift yourself with your hands while sitting.
@ Echthroi Nearly everything you say is accurate. The hands being easier is way off. That take a lot of upper body strength that I am sure neither of us would ever have in our life. The two issues I see with this mans feat is him putting all of that strain on his rear and hands. That is the part that amazes me. I will not speak about your mother. I am sure you were too fat and bigboned to skate. I always laughed at those type of skater haters.
@SaviorX42 eh a@#hole go find the nearest steep hill in your area, sit on a skateboard and roll down the hill. After your finished busting your monkey a**, watch this video again and re-evaluate your lame a** physics lesson. At least this kid is out doing something with himself.

Funny how all the comments saying how amazing he is, look like what a Justin Bieber fan would say. As SaviorX42 it's way harder to fall while sitting on a board than with 2 feet and way easier to do tricks with his hands than someone on feet. You all live in a fairy tale where everyone that is pitiful is awesome. In fact, deep down inside you know that what he does is pretty lame and you just don't wanna look bad so you post a fanboy comment. Anyone that actually skate could do that 3 weeks - 1 month of practice even less maybe. Sure he has no legs but he's still human. Stop favouritising people like him. You say that he has a special ability, this isn't a special ability it's just practicing a hobby, if you can't do that then you're either terribly bad, lazy, or you just don't have any interrest in what he does.

The least i can comment on is that the boy is great. I dont think that someone should care about gravity while watching this video! He is so respectful to life and that should be a lesson to the rest of us, because some seem to be fool with their comments. He has a special ability and he is able to do more things that the rest of us can! He is smiling during the whole video and has believes in himself! Do all of have the same self esteem? I remember when I was going for a ride my mother used to say : "don t breack your leg" (funy ?), as a skater myself I would say what he does is really amazing !! especially stair jump and double grind stuff...
Guys! the fact is: it's not about the center of gravity, skate tricks and ease of performing them or not. What matters is that this guy does not spend his entire time sitting regretting not having legs. While "normal" people commit suicide by idiocies. The lesson is: "Be happy with what you have. But do not be limited to that."

You seem slow in the head just reading the statement you just made and because you can't understand than sitting on a 1 inch rail can't really be compared to "Not having legs and still getting air in a ramp with a skateboard, doing grinds etc."
I'd say that's fucking amazing.
But yes, people with legs skateboarding are also amazing, this video isn't most likely meant to undermine their achievements. Or to claim that this is superior to people with legs skating. Legs also just so happen to give you quite a few perks that help in skateboarding too.. as
