Angelina Jolie joins Brad Pitt for first public appearance since double mastectomy Speaking at the premiere of Brad Pitt's new film World War Z, Angelina Jolie says she is "feeling fine" and is "very grateful" for the public's support after undergoing a preventive double mastectomy. The 37-year-old actress told reporters that she had been very happy to see the discussion of women's health expanded by her revelation that she has had her breasts removed after discovering she has inherited a genetic mutation which puts her at high risk of breast and ovarian cancer. Brad Pitt paid tribute to his partner's bravery: "The fact that she would not be frightened of this, what she would have to go through to do this, to take this spectre away from our family, I get very emotional about it. It means the world to me." The couple, who have six children, were in London's Leicester Square for the world premiere of Pitt's new big-budget film World War Z, in which he plays a UN employee battling to save the world from a zombie apocalypse.
