A huge avalanche going down on Nanga Parbat (Rupal face), filmed from Herrligkoffer Base Camp. The whole day I saw avalanches going down but this one was by far the biggest. After a while the air at our camping site was full of ice crystals. Nanga Parbat or Diamir in Pakistan is considered to be one of the most difficult 8000m mountain in the world to climb. One of the reasons are the many avalanches the mountain sends down every day.
