I mean, theyre in louisiana, how smart do you expect them to be? Plus alligators are probably as common there as squirrels are anywhere else, so they probably have a better grasp on what to do in the presence of alligators than any of us do.
I agree,I 'm still in shock after seeing that. I can't believe the adults there DID NOT see the Serious Danger they were all in. They can move super fast when they are after their prey.and they drag their catch into the water. That child was very fortunate to have gotten out of that situation must less the cat . and the reason that cat did what it did was because he/she was very young.
The only thing that saved that cat , the kid and the other cat is the gator wasn't hungry. They eat dogs and cats like they were cheetos. And when they're real hungry they will eat adults, too dumb to know their brain is the size of a small peanut.
