My cat plays fetch, comes when I call him, walks upright when told to do so, and even rolls over when told to do so. It's about how you raise them ;) not the species. Nicole Danielle Bethely -- 24-Aug-2012 05:32:19 am -- my cat also fetches, as well as sits and stays...its actually pretty natural by instinct cats chase small objects insects and of course mice as a sign of respect and love it will offer up the prey to the alpha of the group in domestic cats their human. people are the ones who underesstimate this highly intelligent animal. so really the actions are normal even panting is as like dogs cats do not sweat. if you notice in the background a fan was blowing it could havee been a hot room adding to the cat running around she was probably trying to cool down. my cat also drools when excited a so called dog trait, various tail wagging is a sign of communication. this is just a well trained cat not irregular. I've had many cats that played fetch and acted more like dogs, but only panted in hot weather. Dog and cats have more in common than differences. Just like people. But we're all on this planet together and need to embrace one another. It's all about uniting, instead of dividing.
