A village football team has been branded the worst in Britain after losing 11 games on the trot and conceded a staggering 227 goals - including a 55-0 drubbing. Hapless Madron FC have suffered a demoralising start to the season and let in 227 goals since the opener in August having scored just two goals themselves. The team's worst result of the season came against Illogan Reserves when they were hammered 55-0 earlier this month - an average of more than a goal every two minutes. Stand-in manager Alan Davenport admitted Madron FC are ''probably the worst team in Britain'' after their ''embarrassing'' string of results but praised his players for turning up.
