you know, i am not so sure they even had a blowout looking closer. the driver tries to straddle whatever was, in the road, but it caught the back of the axle and lifted the back wheels off the ground. wow.

horrible. they hit something. you can see it. a blowout too for sure, but a blowout alone doesnt lift the back end of the car off of the ground 12 inches. does it? Nothing they could do. So sad.

It looks to me like the driver had a blowout, their back left tire showed some smoke then they went out of control. Speed was also an issue. I hope their medical limits were high or they have HMO, not only was the car a total loss, the medical is going to be many times the value of the car. and the way the big truck destroyed their roof. Pray there was a miracle.

Seriously guys, what do you expect people in the passing cars to do - aside from cal an ambulance? Its difficult to see the extend of damage to the car behind (with the camera), but guy in the front car most likely didn't survive. Are you expecting passing motorists to stop, jump out and give him mouth to mouth? Or heroically drag him out of his mangled vehicle? Given the state of his vehicle, he's probably pretty mangled up himself, can you imagine what you'd see even peering into the wreckage? The sort of image stays with you forever. Honestly, there is little a person can do in that situation, except call an ambulance. And you don't need every passing motorist to stop and do that. One person doing it is enough.

Not surprised that no one stopped. I was hit on the way back from a huge school district meeting--No one stopped--people I worked with just drove on by. I cannot believe the lack of compassion and empathy that people exhibit.
