A new survey finds that for 96 percent of parents of children with Type 1 diabetes in the U.S., diabetes management is a constant worry.(I) But often, “worry” is an understatement. Parents experience tension headaches (54%), anxiety attacks (40%), lack of concentration at work (37%), and losing their temper (32%) due to stress related to managing their child’s Type 1 diabetes. Yet, 9 out of 10 worried parents agree it would help alleviate their worries if they could remotely check their child’s glucose levels when they are not physically together.(I) Today, Roche Diabetes Care, a company committed to advancing technology that empowers people with diabetes to focus on the daily wins of managing diabetes, introduces the new Accu-Chek® Connect system. The Accu-Chek Connect system is designed to simplify diabetes management and offer peace of mind to parents and caregivers, and a newfound sense of independence to children living with diabetes.
