I first met my roomie Rasmus about 8 years ago when I began studying architecture at the University of Jönköping (Sweden). We were classmates and we both wanted to become architects. I had planned to become an architect ever since I was about 15 years old. You have probably been there, sitting in school talking to your teachers and parents about the future and you need to make a decision about your future career. A decision that will change your life for the coming 3-8 years...if you are not stuck with it for the rest of your life.
Some people get it right the first time but believe me I have so many friends that do not work with what they are educated to do. 3-6 years of university studies and they are working with something completely else. Take me for an example, I chose to study science (3 years) then I chose to study architecture at the university (dropped out after 2 years to create my jeans label MO'CYCLE). I happened to end up in a path of science, mathematics, engineering, physics and so on for 5 years of my life. I was lost in the jungle and I had to find my own way out. Luckily for me I got a collaboration with Harley-Davidson and created my own jeans label MO'CYCLE, that became my way out. But who is to blame for taking the wrong path? The system? The teachers? My self? I don't think anybody is to blame for the choices a young un-experienced 15 year old kid makes, you just don't know what you really like yet. We have to find yourself first before you can decide what you really wanna do. Too bad that the system does not allow it to work that way. Anyway I have found my path in life and it is all about being creative, no matter if I am designing a collection of clothes, making videos or whatever, as long as I have my freedom and can be creative I am up for it.
My roomie Rasmus on the other hand got it right the first time and now he is working as an architect and doing some real huge projects. He loves the job and has a genuine ambition of developing
