This is the moment a stuntman dangled head-first from the tracks of a roller-coaster in honour of the legendary Harry Houdini who would have been 137 today. Daring Rob Roy Collins, 33, successfully escaped from a straight jacket while suspended 60ft (18.3m) in the air. The British escapologist was suspended by his ankles from the tracks of the RITA roller-coaster at Alton Towers Resort, Staffs. - which reopens for the summer season this Saturday. Crowds gathered to watch Rob recreate Houdini's famous straight-jacket escape trick to celebrate the great escapologist's 137th birthday. Daredevil Rob, who has performed death-defying stunts around the world, even beat Houdini's record after he freed himself in just 1.53 minutes.
