A collaborative effort between Stephen Housden and Jim Malatesta, CEO of Vision 4 Music to document the history of Rock N' Roll's most prominent instrument, the electric guitar. The preliminary shoot featured twelve distinguished guitar players demonstrating techniques, musical styles and discussing their inspirations.

"From the Top of the Fret" is must see for any fan of rock music history, these artists not only show us their best chops, but get into detail about how they came up with the signature techniques that made them famous.
